Our website and blogs play an integral part in communicating with the local and wider community. Thank you to those who share the blog with friends and family members. CAPTURED
Here are a few learning moments from this week, captured by Miss Watson:

FUNKY FRIDAY
Thank you to all those who attended our Funky Friday Assembly yesterday. As always, there was plenty of celebration and fun. I apologise for sharing the news that there are only 14 Fridays until Christmas.
MR HERRIOTT’S MUSIC FACT
The band Coldplay were originally called Starfish (just like one of our classes). Thanks Mr Herriott.

OSCAR
Congratulations to Rex (Year 6) for being presented with an Oscar.
Rex has started the year so well. He loves learning and is producing work of the highest quality in all subjects. He is enthusiastic about all that school has to offer and is one of our presenters in Funky Friday assembly. Rex is polite, well-mannered and incredibly humble about his achievements. Well done Rex - we are very proud of you.

GOLDEN TICKETS
The following children received Golden Tickets this week:
Jesse and Sonny (Year 1), Etta and Talena (Year 2), Thea and Raphael (Year 3), Rufus and Bonnie (Year 4), Aidan and Nimitan (Year 5), Amelie and Howl (Year 6)
Well done to you all.
SPOT THE DOG
Attendance matters! The class with the best attendance this week was Coral Class with 97.2%. The Attendance Randomiser selected Scoobie for them to have for the week. Can you spot him in the class photo?

HARLEY SAYS…..
HENRY AND THE FORT
Henry (Reception) had a very busy Saturday recently as the youngest member of Shoreham Fort volunteers, helping with the Heritage Open Day. Henry was in charge of the museum in the Nissan Hut at the fort - talking to visitors about the fort history and planes/helicopters. Apparently, he has been involved with the fort since the age of one. Well done Henry. The photographs below show Henry with Gary (Chair of the Fort) .

ARISA AND THE NEW JULIA DONALDSON BOOK
"My nanny did security for Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in London. She got Julia Donaldson's new book signed for me." Arisa-Mai (Year 3)

PTFA NEWS UPDATE
Hello again from your PTFA and welcome to any new families who have joined our school this term.
For anyone who doesn’t know about us, we are a registered charity who fundraise to help finance projects to enhance the children’s learning whilst at school.
Following a hugely successful Summer Fair and many other events over the last school year, we raised an amazing £7,000. All of which was possible, thanks to the support of parents, staff and children.
We have many fun events planned for this school year, with the first being the return of the Halloween Disco, which we will have more information for you very soon.
We are always looking for more enthusiastic people to join our committee, wether that be in a formal or informal role. So if you would like to help out by chaperoning at events, planning events, volunteering at events or even be on the committee, please do get in touch with us at shorehambeachptfa@gmail.com we would love to hear from you.
Thank you as always for your support!
